Feel Good About Your Smile With a Surgical Procedure

With years of experience and a patient-first approach, your friends at All Smiles Dental provide the exceptional care you deserve. To ensure a relaxing patient experience, we offer oral sedation that will calm your nerves before and during your procedure. You can also take advantage of soothing amenities like lumbar support pillows and big, fluffy blankets. Our emotional support dog, Chevy, can even lend a supporting paw if you’d like!

We perform several types of oral surgery:

  • Tooth Removal – Our first priority is always to save a damaged or diseased tooth. But when removal is the best option, we will numb the area and gently extract your tooth. You may also need to have one or more teeth removed to prepare your mouth for Invisalign treatment or dentures.
  • Wisdom Teeth Extraction – Your third molars may not erupt fully or in the best position and can pose potential oral health problems like dental pain and overcrowding. To keep your smile intact, we can remove wisdom teeth here in our office most of the time. If needed, we will refer you to a trusted specialist for more complicated cases.
  • Bone Grafts – If tooth loss has left you with a weak jawbone or not enough bone mass to support dental implants, this procedure can pave the way for strong new teeth and better long-term oral health.

Call All Smiles Dental today at 954-280-8482 to schedule your oral surgery in Fort Lauderdale, FL. You can also schedule online.

Common Questions About Oral Surgery
When would I need oral surgery?

Tooth extraction is often needed if a tooth is too damaged to repair or if it is damaging your other teeth. In some cases, you need to have teeth removed to make room for dentures or another dental restoration. If necessary, we’ll recommend a bone graft to ensure your jaw is strong enough to support dental implants.

Is there much pain after oral surgery?

Your pain level will vary depending on the extent of your surgical procedure, your age, and your overall health. For some procedures, you may feel little or no pain as you recover. For more extensive procedures, you may have some soreness. In any case, we’ll provide guidance to help you minimize pain and soreness.

How can I prepare for oral surgery?

You’ll need to avoid smoking for at least 12 hours prior to oral surgery (and 24 hours after). We perform many oral surgeries using only local anesthesia, so you’ll be able to enjoy a light meal several hours beforehand. We’ll give you more specific instructions. It’s a good idea to take off work or school for at least a day or two, depending on the kind of surgery you receive.
